On The Wings of Love...

You remember Clare and Simon's sneak peek?   Well, here is the full story!  See, Simon is a pilot and Clare, well, she is a flight attendant.   I know, right?!  Amazing.  These two got together while all the planes were grounded because of the Volcano...both stranded, and both about to meet the love of their lives.  A simple internet comment, and 14-hour phone call, a lengthy car ride, and the meeting that changed their lives.  They get married in just under a month.

I want to say a huge thank you to Andrea Ellison for having me come along on this fun shoot - I really enjoy working with her, and she is such a major talent!  Also, a huge thank you to Simon and Clare for letting me tag along, to Martin at Keen Air for allowing us to shoot his planes and in his hangar, and last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to the (enter Scouse accent here) AMAZIN'  Hannah Jones, who did Clare's hair and makeup!

Love Like The Movies...

Sometimes you become connected with someone serendipitously, and end up being part of the biggest day of their life.  Enter Kate.  I connected with her on Twitter, and happened to see that she had written a blog post about planning her wedding in 2 months.  Once I read the blog, I knew that Nick and I had to be a part of her wedding and her story.  I contacted her, and turns out, she still needed cinematography for her wedding!  DONE!

I won't reveal too much about the day since this is only the coming soon film - but I will say this,
IT WAS EPIC
What a day!  We are so blessed to have made these friends and to have been there to help tell their story.

Faces For Radio...

Hey everyone!  Hope you all had a great (American) Mother's Day weekend!  We sure did - there was a lot of work involved, but we got to spend lots of time with Jackson on Sunday, which was nice.

And it just so happens, almost like a little gift to me, our BBC Radio Stoke Interview aired today on the morning show!  We got together with Qasa Alom from the BBC to do our interview at The Studio...the new home to us and STUDIO 1208!  I know you might be thinking 'WHAATTTT?! How did we miss this news?!'  But you actually didn't - we have kept this pretty quiet;  we didn't want to count our chickens before they hatched!  But OMG, it is AMAZING!!  We will definitely be sharing images of our new home and studio soon!

So when we did the interview, Qasa asked me to take some pictures for the interview to add the camera sounds to the piece.  I agreed, but what he didn't know, was that I was going to make him sit for me as my subject.  We needed some authenticity!  He was a little thrown off, but it worked out great - a very good sport.  Here are my favorite images...in the Studio!

Alexander The Great...

I love photographing families - I think it is so much fun to watch them interact with eachother in their own space, whether it's playing with toys, reading a story or even jumping on the bed. You can really get a sense of who they are as a family, which helps me to tell their story even better.

Rachel, Al, and little Alex are a fun, adventurous and outdoorsy family who love to get out and breathe the fresh air that living in the beautiful countryside provides.  They climb mountains, they run marathons, they camp (like really camp)!  There is no doubt that Alex will grow up with the same interest in having an active life - he was so active and interested in everything!

I had a great time hanging out with them - I always feel priviledged when people invite me into their home and into their lives - so, thank you, guys!
