Featured! Libby and Ryan on Bridal Musings...

Today is such a good day! We have another feature on the always amazing Bridal Musings for Libby and Ryan's magical destination wedding in Oklahoma. They have called it "Prairie Chic", and that is totally spot on. It was relaxed, but styled to perfection - kinda like Libby and Ryan are in real life.

The first feature (above) was for their photos, and it is BEYOND - to see the full post, click HERE. Their portraits though.... all I can say is prairie sky meets Salt Flats!

The second feature (above) was for their film trailer - it is so emotional and amazing - the vows will KILL YOU DEAD. To see the full post, click HERE

We loved working with all of the amazing vendors from this one, especially Forever Cole who coordinated this magical day and Studio BDR, who did all of the calligraphy, signage, and paper / printed goods...including the gorgeous invitation suite!!!

Dancing In The Wind...

Libby and Ryan's gorgeous destination wedding in Oklahoma. Photo by STUDIO 1208
"And even when we become stardust, we will still be dancing in the wind together..."

Today is the day for Libby and Ryan's full film, and guys, it's magic. I don't really even know what to say, other than please watch it - it will make you feel happy, it will make you laugh, it will almost certainly make you cry, and it will reaffirm your belief in love and forever.

This is a beautiful story, filled with beautiful people - not just on the outside, either. Weddings are about the people, about embracing the day - everything that happens - the silly less than perfect moments, the word stumbles, the happy accidents, the real tears, the rawness of the emotions, and the absolutely pure unimaginable joy felt by two people.

Ok, I won't say another word, just press play.

I Will Follow You Into The Dark...

GUYS. This wedding, these people. OMG.

Many of you will remember that we did a huge contest (#HookUpWithStudio1208) giving away free photo and video to a couple last year, and Libby and Ryan were our seriously deserving winners. They smashed it with all of their entries - their friends and family came out of the woodwork to support them, and we were blown away. Fast forward, and we are beyond grateful to have met them, and to now call them (and their friends and family) ours. They are part of our tribe - just the best people you could ever hope to meet, and I can't think of a more appropriate post to share on this day of thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and love each other a little more today.

Groove Is In The Heart...

Chris and Genevieve's beautiful Will Rogers Memorial Museum wedding. Wedding film by STUDIO 1208
Genevieve and Chris are so cute, and SO in love. I mean, hearing Chris say his vows to her, you could hear and feel how genuine he was. Every word was deliberate - he was absolutely present in that very moment, and it was honestly, magic. I can't help but cry when I watch them, hear them, and re-live what a beautiful day it was. Congratulations, Vivi and Chris - we wish you the very best, we thank you for trusting us to tell your story, and we thank you both for being absolutely candid and present in every single moment. A beautiful beginning to what will without doubt be a long, happy, FUN marriage.

And That's How The Story Goes...

When you start shooting weddings, you work with lots of people you don't know, some that you do, and sometimes, you even get to work with family. It is a really hard decision to make when family is involved - do we work, or do we decide to be guests only? It is impossible to be both, which is why we don't really do it.

We did, however, make an exception to shoot my cousin Vivi's wedding. Part of me still would have liked to be just a guest, but I am so glad that we got to tell her story and put our stamp on it. I've known her since she was born, and it was a great honor. With that said, I hope we did her justice - here is Vivi and Chris.
