Featured! Libby and Ryan on Bridal Musings...

Today is such a good day! We have another feature on the always amazing Bridal Musings for Libby and Ryan's magical destination wedding in Oklahoma. They have called it "Prairie Chic", and that is totally spot on. It was relaxed, but styled to perfection - kinda like Libby and Ryan are in real life.

The first feature (above) was for their photos, and it is BEYOND - to see the full post, click HERE. Their portraits though.... all I can say is prairie sky meets Salt Flats!

The second feature (above) was for their film trailer - it is so emotional and amazing - the vows will KILL YOU DEAD. To see the full post, click HERE

We loved working with all of the amazing vendors from this one, especially Forever Cole who coordinated this magical day and Studio BDR, who did all of the calligraphy, signage, and paper / printed goods...including the gorgeous invitation suite!!!

You Won't Have To Face The World Alone...

So what can I even say about this, other than WOW.

Remembering this week, with these people brings nothing but joy to me instantly. To say that they welcomed us into the fold is an understatement - we were instantly part of the group, and had a bond of friendship from the moment we met. Add in their friends, family and Vince's three rad (and handsome) sons, and their two dogs, and it was like a big family vacay we were all on together. It started on a Lake, and finished on a mountain... this story is special, and I am so excited to share it with you all today!!!

Thanks to Kara from Love This Day Events for doing such a great job, and being so amazing and fun! Let's do it again soon!!!

Hot Love And Emotion, Endlessly...

Katie and Ryan's gorgeous OC wedding. Photo by STUDIO 1208

Separately, such rad people, but together, it is like home - comfort - your happy place. Spending the windiest day in the history of the World together brought so many surprises our way, but you never lost focus of what this day was all about, the celebration of deciding to hang out forever, crushing life together. I kinda love the way these two met - you will have to watch to know what I'm talking about... it is a sign of our modern times, but shows that even in this fast paced numbers game, you can find the one. This love is real, and solid as a rock - scratch that, STEEL.

So glad we could be a part of this with you, we love you!

KP and Ryan, you two are legends. Did you guys peep their incredible steeze - Katie's BAE pin on her one of a kind dress? Dying.

Losing Time...

This is a lesson to boys everywhere - if you find something special, go after it, and never give it up. Sara and Chris met on their first day of college, and became fast friends - nothing ever happened, and there were a few missed opportunities, but Chris always continued to make an effort to be near Sara and show her gestures of thoughtfulness. He even sent flowers to her family home during their first Christmas at college! What boy even does that, especially when you aren't even dating?! Chris does. And he is a G.

This is the trailer for their insanely fun and beautiful wedding. I know I say it all the time, but we get the coolest brides and grooms! Thank you for bringing us into such an amazing story, and Carly - love you, girl!

Thank you to Stacey and Leslie from Peony Events Co. for all of your help and for the laughs!!! And of course, to our dope second shooters, Matt and Paul for killing it as usual.

Dancing In The Wind...

Libby and Ryan's gorgeous destination wedding in Oklahoma. Photo by STUDIO 1208
"And even when we become stardust, we will still be dancing in the wind together..."

Today is the day for Libby and Ryan's full film, and guys, it's magic. I don't really even know what to say, other than please watch it - it will make you feel happy, it will make you laugh, it will almost certainly make you cry, and it will reaffirm your belief in love and forever.

This is a beautiful story, filled with beautiful people - not just on the outside, either. Weddings are about the people, about embracing the day - everything that happens - the silly less than perfect moments, the word stumbles, the happy accidents, the real tears, the rawness of the emotions, and the absolutely pure unimaginable joy felt by two people.

Ok, I won't say another word, just press play.

Find Your Husband Sundays...

YOU. GUYS. (I apologize for the over use of all caps and parentheses in this post)

This wedding is SO good, I mean, SO SO SO good. We went to Rhode Island for this one, and met these great people (obvs. fell in love with them), and had the best party ever. Not only did we fall in love with them, we fell in love with their coordinator, Elizabeth Lutz of Glass Event Boutique (a goddess), their floral designers, Greenlion Design (geniuses), and their prop stylist, Caylin Harris (yes that's a thing, and it's amazeballs)!

Anyway, Kira and her bestie, Jourdan devised a plan called "Meet your husband Sundays", and they would get dolled up, hit the bars that supported their local teams (to give each side a chance), and pretend like they cared about football. HA! Genius! And you know what, it worked... Kira and TJ met at the bar that supported the Buffalo Bills (Jourdan's home team)... are you still with me?? Long story short, Kira and TJ met, they fell in love, and now they are married - and they are the best. I almost forgot to mention this, but Kira also DESIGNED AND MADE her dress with her best friend Anokah, and it is NEXT LEVEL.

I can't wait to share some images with you all, it is an eyegasm for real! Enjoy this, and watch for my cameo in the trailer on the dance floor (duh). Also, go check out their Instagram cut on our page @Studio1208!

I Will Follow You Into The Dark...

GUYS. This wedding, these people. OMG.

Many of you will remember that we did a huge contest (#HookUpWithStudio1208) giving away free photo and video to a couple last year, and Libby and Ryan were our seriously deserving winners. They smashed it with all of their entries - their friends and family came out of the woodwork to support them, and we were blown away. Fast forward, and we are beyond grateful to have met them, and to now call them (and their friends and family) ours. They are part of our tribe - just the best people you could ever hope to meet, and I can't think of a more appropriate post to share on this day of thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and love each other a little more today.

Through All Of Our Years...

This is what it looks like when you marry your best friend - the one who brings you out of your shell, makes it possible for the best in you to shine brightly, and who shows you that life can be the most beautiful, magical thing in the world.

Jessie and Chaz were married at her family home in Hammonton, New Jersey - home of Penza Pies (seriously, you need to eat one...it will change your life). We loved watching these two in the moments in-between... that is where the magic happened, and when you watch this, you will see exactly what I mean!

Cool Whipped...

A boy and a girl meet. Boy is all like, "ummm, hi, I think I love you". Girl is all like, "friend zone". Boy chases girl...girl turns boy down. Repeat. Add cool whip. #Winning.

Ok, it wasn't exactly like that, but you get the idea...

John and Alex are two of the most talented human beings on the planet - a musical genius and a straight up genius that started as friends and ended up being soulmates. They are kinda opposites in lots of ways, but they just work - actually, not just work, they are the perfect compliment to each other. Finding a good partner in life is about balance, and these two have it nailed.

They got married just outside of Nashville in a beautiful barn, and their wedding was epic. Dance moves included.

100 years of Happiness

Courtney and Matt's gorgeous Saddlerock Ranch wedding in Malibu, California. Photo by STUDIO 1208

When you head to Picnic day at college, usually the only thing you end up afterwards with is a hangover that could slay a walrus and IF you are lucky, your dignity still relatively in tact. It's probably NOT the place where you could ever imagine finding your one true love... But that really is the beauty of love, it follows no pattern, rhyme or reason and seeks to throw two souls unwittingly together almost always when we least expect it.

That is exactly what happened with Matt and Courtney. A chance meeting at the bar led to an incredible journey together, a proposal on a plane (by the pilot) over Santa Barbara and then finally to this - their wedding day. These two incredible people are just meant to be together, and they simply light up when they are around one another. So, surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family, they tied the knot at the beautiful Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, and danced the night away under the stars. As one of the maids of honor so beautifully said in her speech that night, Cent'anni!

"To one hundred years of happiness"!

As Long As I Got You, Baby...

Brittany and Willem's gorgeous Southern California outdoor wedding by Sitting In A Tree Events. Photo by STUDIO 1208
On a beautiful, warm (ok, pretty hot) day in Southern California, Brittany and Willem were married in an outdoor ceremony under gigantic trees, surrounded by all of their closest friends and family. To say the day was perfect would be an understatement, and to say that these two are kinda cool or pretty good looking, would also be a gross understatement. I can't forget the best man, Spencer's speech, when he said "Anyone who meets them wants to become their friend - anyone who is lucky enough to become that friend wants to stay that way forever." How true that is. These people are good - great, even..and the people they surround themselves with just proves that you are the company you keep.

Even if you stripped back all of the beautiful details, the beyond gorgeous location and the impeccably styled..everything (thank you, Sitting In A Tree!!), this wedding would have been wonderful and memorable and perfect. It is about the people and the commitment to being absolutely present in every moment - letting everyone in to the magic that makes the two of you a team. All the rest is the icing on that perfectly styled (and delicious) wedding cake!

We couldn't be happier for Brittany and Willem and their inner circles. Thank you all for letting us in and throwing the best party ever. And to the girl who lost her damn mind during "Turn down for what"... you are my spirit animal, and I love you!

Rozayyy Errr Dayyy...

I just love Sundays…the idea of sleeping in, eating a nice brunch, and just enjoying the day at a pace only to be described as lazy. Usually I like to do nothing work related on a Sunday (if I'm not shooting), but sometimes, you just feel really excited about something, and you kinda feel like a kid on Christmas. That's how I feel about this next film we are about to show you.

In the post for their wedding film trailer, I already talked about how Priscilla and I met, how epic their wedding was, how delicious everything was, how ridiculously good looking they are…and I touched on how much we love these people. I only touched on it because I didn't want to give everything away just on the trailer, but WE LOVE THESE PEOPLE. Like real love. Like going on vacation together love. They are the finest of the fine, the highest quality in human that you can get, and we get to keep them. It's just such a bonus to work with people that are so RAD! We miss them and their people, we miss their party, and I know a certain little boy who misses P's croissants…that sounds so wrong. But I miss them too.

It's with great honor and joy that I share this wedding film with all of you. Watch for Misha's entrance into the party and for Priscilla's serenade to her man (you can also find out what she was singing if you listen closely!) EPIC.

I Loved You Then And I Love You Now...

Happy Friday, everyone! Tough to get back into the swing of things after a nice holiday season, but we are so excited to share this wedding film trailer with you today! Not only is is gorgeous, but the story is beyond sweet too. Bonus!

Courtney and Matt met in college…you know, frat guy meets sorority girl, but more like super nice handsome guy meets beautiful go-getter girl. As cliche as it may sound, these two were completely meant to be and they continue to prove this with how they support each other through triumphs and tribulations. That's what it's really all about, isn't it? Being there for each other in a way that no one else can be, and being a support system for your partner through the good and the bad. Courtney and Matt are a great example of this, and the love they have for each other is impossible to ignore.

We loved being a part of their day, and the hilarious, sweet, thoughtful, teary moments we got to share with them and their nearest and dearest. They really are a great team. Speaking of team, we also loved working with the ever amazing Amber and her posse of badass ladies from Amber Events, who made this wedding truly spectacular in every way! Can't wait to share the rest of this amazingness with you!

Make It Like Your Birthday Everyday...

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

What an amazing year it has been - so many things to be grateful for, and so many amazing memories have been made. I couldn't think of a more perfect wedding to share than Willem and Brittany's! Their wedding was gorgeous, and festive and full of love and fun - styled to perfection by the fabulous Sitting In A Tree Events.

I have known Brittany since we were pretty young. She was one of my best friend's little sisters, and I always adored her to pieces. She is just a really amazing woman, completely badass, and totally ridiculously hot (I MEEEEEAN!). She and Willem make a perfect match - not just because he is also ridiculously good looking. It was beyond an honor to have shot her wedding - to see her transform into a bride and become a wife in front of my eyes was magical. We are so lucky to do what we do, and even more lucky that people who know us (and don't!) trust us to tell one of the most important stories of their lives!

Thank you all for allowing us to be a part of your lives, and for letting us in. We couldn't love what we do more, and the people we work with are truly a part of our family! Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We Can Waste Time Together...

Well, what can I even say about this wedding, about these people who I love so dearly, they are like family at this point?! Priscilla and I met in grade school - yes, the two of us playing in our Catholic school uniforms on the playground together, chasing boys and probably doing some kind of cheerleading and gymnastics (take it easy, boys!). We lost touch over the years, but she found me again when the time was right - after her and Misha got engaged. I am so glad she did - she is everything, and Misha, well, that guy is just as legit as they come.

This wedding was off the chain, basically. Do you guys like food? Good wine, perhaps? Desserts that make you want to cry because you know how bad, yet fantastic they are? Well, so do they, and it just so happens that they know some people who can make all of our culinary dreams come true…and they did, big time! Let's also have a mention to the epic dance party complete with a sing-a-long, (minorly awkward) story-telling, beautiful poem reading and amazing rap serenade wrapped up with an amazing band (and a badass Matron of Honor).

AND can we PLEASE talk about how beautiful these tow creatures are?! Good LORD.

We love them. LOVE THEM! Here is their trailer
